If you haven’t heard about it yet, Daisy Jones & the Six is this spring’s biggest TV hit.
Streaming now on Amazon Prime, the show is set in the early 1970s and follows a young rock band on their journey to fame. In a very Fleetwod-Mac-esque way, the fashion of the show plays a huge part in the telling of the story itself. Other than being one of the best-produced shows of this year, the fashion of the show and the 70s is slowly making its way back.

The Influence of Daisy Jones
From television promos to advertising productions, the show's stars have discussed the impact 70s fashion had on the show itself, and on themselves as actors. Riley Keough, better known as Daisy Jones in the show, has discussed just how important fashion was to her character and her ability to tell her story. The show's fashion and costume designer, Denise Wingate, told Elle Magazine, "I did a lot of visual research on musicians, groupies, and kids on the Strip—I had so much inspiration. It was hard to peg down one thing; it was such a great time for fashion".
The show producers took most of their inspiration from classic rock-n-roll singers in the 70s. Stars such as Joni Mitchel and Stevie Nicks impacted the fashion trends of their time, and continue to do so now. Daisy Jones & the Six has become quite popular on TikTok, with creators taking time to make looks similar to their favorite characters in the show.
