I spend a lot of my free time reading or researching new books to read. These are my top three.
It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover
I know exactly what you are thinking. This book is only for teenage girls who like romance. Well, I need you to stop thinking that. This book is something I believe most people should read or try to read. The story follows a young girl living in Boston, Lily, and her journey through a toxic relationship. As a young person trying to navigate relationships and how I want to love others, this book changed my outlook on When I tell you this book crushed me in the best way, I mean it. I don't know if I have ever been so invested in a character or what happens at the end of a story in my life. This book is one of those that I wish I could go back and read for the first time again. Plus, a sequel/novella was just released. I am 100 pages in... after I write this you'll know where to find me.

2. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Mass
When I first started to read, I only read Sci-Fi. In high school, I had some reading slumps and found myself really missing the peace that a good book can bring. I went to my library and stumbled upon A Court of Thorns and Roses. This series, where long, was one of the most captivating fantasy novels I have read. The story follows a young girl living in our world but that gets transported into an alternate dimension with fairies and mythical creatures. She soon finds herself intertwined with the kings and queens of the land. This book is honestly just fun! It's extremely easy to read and doesn't take a lot mentally to follow, which to me makes the experience so much better. At the end of the day, reading should just be enjoyable.

3. The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller
Now this book...... is a literary masterpiece. Also a fantasy novel, this is everything I could dream of in a book. Romance, thriller, and fantasy combined with the structure and writing of this novel make it such a fantastic read. It follows an assassin, sent to kill the prince of a neighboring kingdom when things don't necessarily go to her plan. I often find myself thinking about this book and wishing I hadn't lent it out to a friend that never returned it. If you are even contemplating reading a book from this list, I would highly recommend this one. It is a stand-alone, so there isn't too much commitment and the characters are so likable... and hate-able which makes the storyline fantastic.

These books are all extremely entertaining and are amongst my favorite books I have ever read. I often find myself thinking back to the first time I read them, and wishing I could do it again. Finding a book where you are so enthralled in the world and characters is an experience I hope that everyone can experience at least once in their life.
