During these hours of work at the Law Library of Congress, I worked on the same review assignment from my previous blog post. Again, for the sake of not writing the same blog posts, I will be focusing on the number of tools and technologies I've learned to use in this internship. Everything for this internship takes place inside the greater Google Work platform, one that I came into the internship relatively familiar with, but that I have been challenged to learn more. To edit metadata spreadsheets, we work in Google Sheets. Google Sheets is relatively straightforward, but honestly, I've never worked in spreadsheets with this many rows and columns of data. I've learned how to copy over and remove a large number of cells at once and how to manage entire rows or columns of data. Additionally, I have done some experimenting using AI to help me with assignments. Oftentimes, there are edits that need to be made that require hundreds of columns to need the same edit. In these scenarios, I've had AI platforms create the cells I need by the hundred, and then I will paste that into the correct row or column that required edits.

On the other hand, when editing text files, I have learned how to use a new app that integrates pretty seamlessly with Google Drive. It's called Text Editor. I've never worked in one of these before, but essentially, once you download the app, it syncs to your Google Drive and you can edit and save text files right into your Drive. It's extremely convenient and in the same tab you can review and make edits to text files. I think this is an app I will definitely remember and take with me if I will be needing to review text files throughout my career. Both of these technologies have been areas of growth and opportunity for me as I continue in this internship program.
