Supervisor: Jennifer Gonzalez

December 11, 2025, 11:00am - 7:00pm

Hours Total: 120

For these eight hours of work, I reviewed and editing the section: 91_1_Status_Senate Joint Resolutions_pg60-63. This section was relatively straightforward but did challenge me in the types of actions associated with the bill summaries. I learned that there are different expectations as CRS and Congress change the methods to bills and saving them on the website. During these eight hours of work, I was also able to double check some of my other assignments. I will say, a huge part of my experience with this internship also has had to do with my ability to effectively and accurately communicate with my managers.

Me working in this section. As I reviewed this, I reflected on the importance of communication in this internship.

I learned how to type better emails, message in a timely manner, read instructions, and overall, be a better communicator during my time with this internship. This is often I skill or behavior I think is overlooked; having a communicative intern is extremely important. In my opinion, I also believe that the more communicative you are, the more willing you look to be ready to learn or make advancements. As a fully remote intern, I had to learn how to appropriately communicate via email, which is something I'm not sure I've ever been forced to do up until this point. I feel grateful that I have been put in the position to know and understand what that feels like and to be better about this style of communication during the internship.
