Hours Total: 104
During these nine hours of work for the Law Library of Congress, I finished two more assignments, one a review assignment and one a regular editing assignment. I worked in 91_1_HR696-HR1776_pg590-648 and 91_1_S1026-S1510_pg242-276. I made edits and reviewed both of the metadata spreadsheets and text files for these sections of bills. Again, the work is repetitive, so I will be using this blog to discuss the ways I've seen myself improve over the time that these assignments were completed. In the last few weeks, I've honestly made a lot of mistakes and had to take constructive feedback from my supervisors at the Law Library of Congress. I am a person who values and appreciates all forms of feedback, but especially when someone takes the time to give me constructive feedback. As I've received this feedback, I've been better about seeing the edits that need to be made outside of the general instructions that are given to me for these assignments.

Rather than just following the instructions to a "T", I have been evaluating the spreadsheets and text files in comparison with the example documents and ensuring they are fully edited. This is something I didn't realize I struggled with, however, it's a new skill I have developed as I've continued working on these types of projects. I know understand that yes, assignment-specific instructions are fantastic, but they are not fool-proof when I should be comparing them to the examples or larger set of instructions for a certain type of documents. During my hours of completing these two assignments, I did so much better at making more edits and finding mistakes more than just what was listed in the instructions. I'm very proud of my progress in this and for applying the constructive comments I received in a positive way.
